Scope and Contents The volume is approximately four inches wide by ten inches tall, and its binding has been repaired using black electrical tape. It bears no page numbers, no date, no title, nor an inscription with the name of its owner. The bulk of the correspondence is dated 1805-1806, when Wilkinson served as governor of the Louisiana Territory, and discusses administrative affairs of the territory.
