Scope and Contents The collection contains a typescript copy of a diary of Rev. Charles Peabody, May 21– September 11, 1846; a diary of Rev. Peabody, October 12, 1846–July 25, 1849, while he traveled in the West (mostly in St. Louis, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio) as an agent of the American Tract Society; and four travel diaries of Rev. Scope and Contents

The collection contains 14 diaries written by Elizabeth Nulsen Young. The diaries cover the years 1917 to 1976 and briefly list her day-to-day activities. Each diary includes five years, with the exception of one travel diary of a trip to Europe in 1956 and the last diary (1976), which only contains one calendar year.
