Scope and Contents

This collection is made up of 76 pieces of sheets of music from various composers in the early 20th century. There are numerous genres in this collection including marches, polkas, waltzes, and ragtime. There are a number of pieces by local composers and/or publishers. Many pieces feature photographs or illustrations of the Louisiana Purchase Exposition. This collection houses highly visual and artistic material with various colors and designs depicted.

Scope and Contents The collection is comprised of one volume kept by St. Louis teenager, Adele Quinette, about the 1904 World’s Fair; one photograph of Miss Quinette; and a CD-Rom containing PDF files of the volume. Miss Quinette numbered the volume’s pages and the folders reflect this numerical order. The observations of the Louisiana Purchase Exposition took place between 1903 and 1904.
