Scope and Contents

The collection consists of a leather-bound scrapbook embossed with the monogram “MC.” The scrapbook contains signatures, greetings, and drawings from Mary’s classmates and teachers at Soldan, report cards, receipts, passes, and permits, including a permit to play tennis in the public parks for the 1913 season. Also included in the scrapbook are dance cards, score cards, greeting cards, and a half-tone photograph of the Soldan High School Class of January 1914.

The Frederick Charles Helfesrieder diary contains information about his life and spending from January to October 1936. The diary also contains addresses of various people who lived in St. Louis.
