This collection includes personal letters to David's wife, Elizabeth, business correspondence, receipts, lists, and diaries. A man of limited education, David wrote poorly, spelled phonetically, and rarely used punctuation.

Scope and Contents The Carolyn Kelley-Bounds S.T.I.L.L. Collection documents activities of the St. Louis Tavern and Independent Liquor Licensees, Inc. (S.T.I.L.L.), formed to represent the interests of African American-owned bars and liquor stores.
