The collection is comprised of ten handwritten pages by artist Gustav F. Goetsch concerning mordant recipes; notes on uses of oils, varnishes, and etching and printing supplies; and color compositions and recommendations. The notes are not dated. All but two small pages are from a notebook with page numbers and include a brief table of contents.
