Garner’s Music Store and Studio Recital Programs

The collection contains five programs and two tickets arranged chronologically from 1940 to 1946, from the 9th annual recital to the 15th annual recital. There are no programs from 1941 or 1942. Each recital was held at the Maplewood Masonic Temple. The programs list all musicians by name, instruments played, the selections performed, and mention the weekly Sunday morning Garner Family performance on KXOK and goods sold in the store. The 1940 program also lists the teachers.

Carol Gates Ephemera Collection

The collection consists of a preservation photocopy of the items as they appeared in frame and the damaged ephemeral items removed from the frame: Muny tickets stubs, Pope's Cafeteria matchbook, flier for the Admiral riverboat, gum wrappers, and a pumpkin seed packet. The items were found in a frame and sustained a lot of damage. Only the Muny stubs and Admiral flier are dated; 29 July 1937 and 1938, respectively.
