Letters contain information about King’s activities; he is now stationed in Holland and living with a Dutch family, he writes that the family has practically no food, he mailed Helen’s letters to him back to her so that she can save them. Letter dated Nov. 8 says “I told you so” regarding the election. Letter dated Nov. 10 contains more election news. Letter dated Nov. 18 states that King was promoted to corporal.
