Photocopy of letter signed Louisiana [Patton], Weston, to father. A few cases of cholera here. William says there is a great deal of it in St. Louis. He came up on the Alton. Emigrants are still passing up. It is reported that Indians killed two entire companies, the first that they started out. Kirly lost one of his drivers – he died of cholera.
