States that the bill confirming the French and Spanish claims came in the Senate for discussion and he hopes that the report of the proceedings will satisfy Darby’s question concerning the title to his property. Linn considers all previous claims under the United States completely protected by the decision of the Supreme Court and by the bill confirming the report of the commissioners which passed the Senate in the current session. He hopes that an appropriation of $20,000 for removing sandbars and for surveying various rivers may pass the House.
