Letter signed Jane McDaniel, Caswell County, North Carolina, to John F. Darby, St. Louis, Missouri. States that she wants her grandson to come there if it is ever convenient. She thinks that perhaps he can do something with Price, who is impossible to put up with. She thinks also that he could possibly help his Aunt Sally obtain a divorce from Price, although the lawyer there says that the only way would be to prove positively that he (Price) had taken up with a lewd woman. Writes of some property that she and her husband have just bought, worth about a thousand dollars, which she will leave to Darby.
