Letter signed Bud [August R. Holthaus] to Lucile and John. Writes about the Chinese. He describes them as funny. The Chinese towns are funny as well. He is part of the “short snorter” club, which means he collects as many different kinds of money as possible. He has ten different kinds. He would like to see some of the Chinese temples but they are up on the peaks of mountains. Every time the sun hits the plane, they say it is a spirit from one of the temples passing through the propellers. He had a sore throat from the oxygen, but is otherwise OK.
