Letter signed Sarah Ward, Lexington, to Maria von Phul. Discussion of religion, differences of the Roman Catholic church of your choice, and the Episcopal church. Chatter about friends. We suppose Mrs. Beck to be still at Louisville. I fear she is sinking money by this expedition – all her friends opposed it in Lexington but she would not listen to their advice., 1823 July 21
