The collection contains four items collected at the ceremony in which Gov. Jay Nixon signed an executive order creating the Ferguson Commission. It includes the five page press release listing the 16 members of the Commission, its task, its budget, and two pages of frequently asked questions. There is a program for the Ferguson Commission with photographs and brief biographies of all 16 members and the pen that Gov. Nixon used to sign the executive order. After the ceremony, Gov. Nixon sent a handwritten thank you note to Missouri History Museum president, Frances Levine.
