Circular: “Divination! Past, Present and Future. Madame C. would respectfully announce to the citizens of St. Louis, that she has returned from a professional tour to the Southern States and West Indies, designs remaining a short time in this city. Persons wishing to consult her, concerning this mysterious art and human destiny particularly, with reference to their own individual bearing, relative to a supposed providence, can be accommodated by calling on Madame C at her rooms, at No. 105 Third street, where she will be pleased to see all, who may favor her with a call. Madame C. having a superior facility for this business, having been born with a call on her face, whereby she can cure diseases, such as pains in the body or limbs, or the Thrush in children. Also a superior wash for eruptions of the skin or freckels. Be particular, the rooms are No. 105 north Third street, between Locust and Vine, up stairs.”, 1850s
