Scope and Content Note The collection is arranged chronologically and is comprised primarily of correspondence written by Frank Mitchell to Edna Kessler from 1917 to 1919. Scope and Contents

The Frank C. Mitchell Photograph Collection contains photographic portraits of Mitchell and his father Joseph C. Mitchell and wife Rebecca; U.S.S. El Sol, and unidentified groups (possibly Plumber's Associations). Panoramas in the collection include St. Louis Recruits, 1918; a dinner for Lt. Pease; sailors in front of U.S.S. El Sol; and numerous Plumbers Association gatherings from the 1920s.

Scope and Contents The diary consists of one pre-printed, five-year diary and seven sheets of paper added to the volume. It dates from 17 December 1940 to 16 December 1941. The first entry, 17 December 1940, appears at the end of the volume in accordance with the calendar in the printed diary.
