W. G. May Family Photograph Collection
Scope and Contents
This collection contains five photographs showing members of the W. G. May family, dating from the late 19th century through the early 20th century. Family members shown include Howard May as a baby and young boy; Frances Dulty Thompson as a young girl; W. A. May; Georgia Gambrill (aunt of W. G. May); and Mrs. W. A. May (Lillie Hardgrave). Three of the photographs are studio portraits, while the other two are snapshots taken outside of a family home.

Biographical / Historical
William Gambrill May was born on December 30, 1937 in St. Louis to Howard Lee May and Merrydell Gambrill. His grandparents were William A. May and Lillie Hardgrave May. He later moved to Colorado where he worked as a doctor.
