Robert Freund, Jr.: Transcript DVD 1 (22 pp.), Transcript DVD 2 (7 pp.). Freund was the first CEO of the St. Louis Regional Health Commission, which was formed in 2001 to ensure the financial stability of the safety net and to develop an integrated health system that supports uninsured and vulnerable patients across the community. He discussed the state of health care in St. Louis; the “Building a Healthier St. Louis” study’s statistics; actions taken to address findings of the study, which were partly funded by the Foundation; characteristics that make the Foundation unique among the other, sometimes smaller, health conversion foundations in the region; and long-term impacts of the Foundation upon the St. Louis healthcare system. Jeanne Gibbons and Greta Todd: Transcript (26 pp.). Gibbons was the officer of corporation and foundation relations with the St. Louis Children’s Hospital Foundation. Todd was the director of child health advocacy and outreach at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Gibbons and Todd explained the history of the hospital’s foundation, which was founded in 1994; how the Foundation has worked with St. Louis Children’s Hospital; the hospital’s asthma and dental programs; the helpfulness of the Foundation’s grant consideration meetings which are open to public attendance and are educational for grant writers; and the collaborative environment fostered by the Foundation in the region. P. Wayne Goode (1937-2020): Transcript (20 pp.). Goode was a former Missouri state legislator (1963-2005) and was a current Foundation board member at the time of the interview. Martha Gragg: Transcript DVD 1 (24 pp.), Transcript DVD 2 (16 pp.). Missouri Attorney General Jay Nixon appointed Gragg to the initial Missouri Foundation for Health board of directors in November 2000. She was a nurse and the CEO of the Sullivan County Memorial Hospital (Milan, Missouri) in 2000. At the time of the interview, Gragg was the Foundation’s vice-president for programs.
