Annual Report of the St. Charles Catholic Library Association from Isaac W. Capes, Secretary, to the Board of Directors. Reports gains in membership, revenue, and activities. Since the Association was organized in November 1859 to December 31, 1867, it has had 117 members, of whom 48 are current. Strongly recommends establishment of a reading room. Ours is the only English Public Library in the City; however, enemies of our faith may establish their own institution in opposition to ours., 1868 Jan 7
