Deposition of John W. Boone in case of Zachariah Moore, administrator Anthony C. Parmer use of George W. Atchison. Zachariah Moore was bail for Elisha Moore in a suit on a note given by them and assigned to George Atchison. In the summer of 1819, Elisha Moore went to New Madrid County with some merchandise to peddle to get money to pay for the goods. In February 1820, Boone was employed by Z. Moore to go after E. Moore to surrender him in discharge of his bail, but E. Moore was confined in New Madrid County and the sheriff there would not release him. Boone believes he would have come up to St. Charles County if he had not been confined. (2 pages), 1822 Oct 29
