General commission of the Common Pleas District of St. Charles, signed William Henry Harrison, Governor and Commander in Chief of the Indiana and of the District of Louisiana. We have appointed Francois Saucier, Arnaud Rutgers, Daniel Morgan Boon, Timothy Kibby, Francois Duquette, Robert Spencer, Christopher Wood, and David Bryant as justices to keep the peace of the United States in the district of Saint Charles. They are to enforce the statutes and ordinances in the district and impose punishments for violations. Any three of them are empowered to hold court of record in that district on the first Tuesdays of July, October, January, and April, and other times.
