Letter signed Tho. Swords, New York, to Major Dougherty. Your last letter annoyed me as I thought everything was going along swimmingly. I do wish we were rid of Shultz. I do not recall having the agreement, but it was legally cancelled, but if we are morally bound to give him his claim is another question. I am disposed to act liberally so that there will be no clashing of interests in the future development. Do come and see us.
