Letter signed Henry Cobb, St. Louis, to B. Emmons. Regarding proceedings in the News and the Intelligencer. I called the Merchants’ Exchange and heard the books had been opened but could hear no more. I called at Genl. Coulter’s, but he was not in and I know nothing more about the stock. Since writing (above) I have again called on Genl. Coulter and he says the books are blank., 1853 Feb 7
