Letter signed F. Kennett to his sister, Agnes, from New York. I will sail on the 24th for San Francisco on board the ship City of New York. The vessel is a beautiful clipper ship elegantly fitted up in the cabin, having a piano, etc., with large comfortable staterooms. She is commanded by Capt. Thomas who was in command of the yacht Fleetwing when she ran a race to England. I will not get to S.F. before the middle of January., 1867 Sept 19
