Letter signed John Simonds to Ferd Kennett. I acknowledge the “corn” regarding the Genl. Scott prediction, but the newspapers have already informed you that I “guessed” pretty near right about the result of our late county election. I regret to learn the crops in your region are destroyed. You are not the only one sending up for corn – Capt.
