Letter signed John P. Sebree, Senate Chambers, to Col. Elliott. I received your letter and learned from it that Harrison Elliott was dangerously hurt. I suppose he is dead before this time. He will be a great loss. Negroes are coming here in great numbers, some do not wish to enlist. General Brown told me a few minutes ago that he was putting in every one that come here. I am very sorry the Government has seen fit to treat us as it has in regard to our negroes. There is no market at all expect for larger mules. I think those very large mules of ours will be worth $250 in the spring. I don’t know where I will buy any more feed. Individuals mentioned: Bob Lemmon., 1863 Dec 3
