Letter signed Bobbie, Coffey Landing, Tenn., to Papa. We are at Coffey taking on lumber. We landed at Shiloh Thursday. It was raining, but we got off and rode all around the battlefield. We saw all the monuments and where the different generals were killed. We bought some bullets and grape shot. We landed at Savannah and took on a lot of lumber. I sleep in the upper berth at night. We are not going to Waterloo because we can’t get through big shoals. The roustabouts had the lumber on a big slide and slid it down., 1905 Aug 11
