Letter signed T.K. Skinker, Sport, Texas, to wife, St. Louis. A gentleman here from Dallas has given me some account of your old friend Chas. Fred. Tucker. According to him, Tucker has almost wholly dropped out of sight. He does not seem to think there is anything worse than laziness the matter. Col. Fordyce is the centre here. I am learning several things about him, one of which is that he is pretty deaf and does not want it known. From the papers I have learned of the indictment & arrest of Councilman Schnell & delegate Garaghty., 1902 May 31

Letter signed T.K. Skinker, Sport, Texas, to wife. I am much pleased to hear the result with Charley. I have little doubt that he will hold the place as long as he chooses. Col. Fordyce is indefatigable, and being an expert he has landed two tarpon. Our associate, Joe Miller, goes out every day and Sunday too, twice a day. Since Friday I have not been on the water. . . . I feel guilty about this trip., 1902 June 3
