[Copy] Before the last term of the Supreme Court of the United States I wrote to General Walter Jones in behalf of George Collier to employ him to defend a case in that Court in which Simeon Stoddard and other heirs of Major Amos Stoddard are plaintiffs in error and Harry W. Chambers is defendant. the suit is for about 50 acres of the farm now belonging to Benoist, where Bates lives. Collier sold it to Darby and warranted the title. General discussions of the case.
