Letter signed William Holcombe, Galena, to R.M. Strother. Our confidence must be mutual in each other. I shall be down with the steamboat next trip. Have disposed of about $2000 or $3000 worth of my Galena property. Also expect to sell $4500 church lot to Reverend Asa Turner. Feel sure I will have raised the $5000 by January 1st. Hope my opinion of Mr. Cawley accords with yours. St. Louis should do a fair grocery business this fall. Regarding buying lead.
