I can prove by Silas Massie, Collector, that I paid him $15.00 for one year’s ferrying, the same that Eckert paid, and before I commenced I can prove by Robert Spencer and Benjamin Emmons, then Judges of the old City Court, that that course was correct, as others had done so. I gave my bond in the usual form to the clerk for my performance to keep good boats; in the latter case William N. Fulkerson will be the witness. Individuals mentioned include Richard L.
