Letter signed Walter H. Darby, Missoula, Montana, to Secretary, Missouri Historical Society, St. Louis Mo. As eldest and last living son of John F. Darby, now 74, sends a lot of original autographs of old time citizens of St, Louis; also his father’s gold pen that he used in Congress in 1853. The pen is the last relic of his vast estate of 56,000 acres in Missouri, stolen at the close of the Civil War by Knox and Tiffany. Refers to Darby’s bankruptcy. [filed in Miscellaneous], 1911 June 2
