Limrick is sorry that Darby’s speculation in the hands of Mr. Broadwell turned out so unprofitably. Discusses the gold panic. Limrick finds he is not as bold and chivalric as before his defeat, and he is almost a coward. Mentions his possible future plans. Limrick’s residence and farm in Lafayette Co.
