Concerns a resolution passed in the Board of Alderman to the effect that the Mayor is authorized and directed to employ some person to subdivide the blocks within the city into lots of not exceeding thirty feet each in front upon a street and to number the lots as thus divided and the streets of the city, which numbering shall be done in the following manner: Market Street shall be considered as the base and the lots on either side thereof shall be numbered in regular numerical order, by commencing at Market Street with Number One. The streets running north and west are to be numbered each way in like manner and the streets running east and west shall be numbered likewise and the numbers thereof commenced at Front Street.
