Biographical Sketch

Lee Wiley Grant was born January 17, 1863, in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Barton S. Grant and Frances A. Palmer Grant. He graduated from Washington University in 1885, and was admitted to the bar the following year. He practiced law in St. Louis for 58 years. In 1891 he married Zoe Romaine Nelson, the daughter of William S. Nelson and Diana Nelson. Their children were Barton N. Grant, Lee Donald Grant, Irma Grant, Mrs. Romaine P. Bassett, and Mrs. Esther Brown. Lee W. Grant died September 9, 1948; his wife died March 18, 1952.
