Biographical Sketch

Kacie Starr Triplett was born in 1980 in St Louis and is a graduate of St. Elizabeth Academy in the city’s 6th Ward. Triplett earned a bachelor's degree in political science from Hampton University and a master's degree in international relations from Webster University. In 2005, Mayor Francis Slay appointed her to the Affordable Housing Commission, the youngest commissioner in the history of the Affordable Housing Trust Fund. She is the granddaughter of St. Louis politician, the late Missouri State Senator John Bass. Triplett ran for the 6th Ward Board of Alderman seat as a Democrat in 2007, at the age of 26. She won and continued to serve until she resigned in 2013.
