Scope and Contents
The collection includes holiday cards and notes of Hazel Lee to the Milton Springmeyer family, 5259 Gillmore Ave. [5259 Gilmore Ave.] in St. Louis, dated 1959-1981. The cards are accompanied by sketches drawn by Hazel Lee. Includes sketches of the Ziegler Store and the old bakery and post office in Kimmswick. Also includes an advertising card for the Kimmswick Country Store & Gallery.

Biographical Sketch
Hazel (Schaefer) Lee was born March 4, 1915, in St. Louis, Missouri. She married Hueston B. Lee in 1938 and had two children, Barbara and Patrick. In 1958 the Lees moved to Jefferson County, Missouri. A noted artist, Hazel Lee served as president of the Kimmswick Historical Society and operated the Kimmswick Country Store and Gallery. She died July 6, 1981.
