Historical Sketch

Vivent Health was established in January 2020 and traces its history to 1985 with the AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin (ARCW) and the St. Louis Effort for AIDS. ARCW incorporated in August 1985 to provide a corporate structure that enabled AIDS services to expand in Milwaukee and throughout Wisconsin. The St. Louis Effort for Aids, also established in 1985, provided medical and social assistance to individuals living with the virus and expanded to include testing and prevention education. In 2018, the two service providers merged. ARCW previously merged with Rocky Mountain CARES in 2017 and with AIDS Network (Madison, WI) in 2015. In April 2020, Vivent Health acquired AIDS Services of Austin.
