Biographical Sketch
Eugene Oberly Sanguinet was born November 2, 1872, in St. Louis. He served for 24 years in the Missouri National Guard before moving to Houston, Texas, circa 1914. He was appointed a captain in the Texas National Guard in 1917, and commanded the 1st Battalion, 131st Field Artillery, in France during World War I. Following the war he worked as vice president and sales manager of the William S. Barnickel Chemical Company in St. Louis. He died November 4, 1930, in St. Louis, and was survived by his widow, Clara Ann Sanguinet.
