Michael B. and Lois M. Winthrop Certificates
Scope and Contents
The collection contains three certificates presented to Michael and Lois Winthrop for their service to the Religious School of the United Hebrew Congregation. The certificates are arranged chronologically and each is in English with some Hebrew. Michael received certificates for 10 years of service on February 13, 1960, and for 18 years of service circa 1968. Lois received a certificate for 10 years of service, identical to the one Michael received for 18 years, in approximately 1968.

Biographical Sketch
Michael B. Winthrop (1916-1976) and his wife Lois (Oberman) Winthrop (1924-1990) worked at the Religious School of the United Hebrew Congregation. For twenty-eight years, Lois Winthrop taught kindergarten, supervised the primary department, and served as registrar and principal.
