The collection consists of a 16-page program from the homegoing service for Shirley LeFlore. In addition to the order of service, the program includes a detailed biography of Mrs. LeFlore emphasizing her contributions to the arts, photographs, and poems and reminiscences celebrating her life.

Biographical Sketch
Shirley Joyce Bradley was born on 6 March 1940 to Annetta and Monroe Bradley. Shirley first married James W. Price in 1959 and had two daughters, Hope and Jacie. In 1967, she married Floyd LeFlore and they had a daughter, Lyah.
Mrs. LeFlore was a graduate of Sumner High School and Lincoln University, and earned a Master’s degree in psychology from Washington University. She was a charter member of the Black Artists Group (BAG), which her second husband and jazz musician, Floyd LeFlore, co-founded. In 1981, Mrs. LeFlore founded the Creative Arts and Expressions Lab and was the first African-American assistant dean of students at Webster University. She was a performance poet and was selected as St. Louis’ second poet laureate. Mrs. LeFlore died on 12 May 2019.
