Larson Family Papers
Scope and Contents
The collection consists primarily of letters of August Larson to his future wife, Hilma Larson, while they resided in St. Louis from 1904 to 1906. The collection also includes a few letters to Hilma Larson from friends. The letters are in Swedish. English translations of the letters appear at the bottom of this finding aid.

Biographical Sketch
August Larson was born January 7, 1881, in Sweden, and immigrated to the United States in 1901. He married Hilma Larson in St. Louis, Missouri, on June 2, 1906, and they later moved to Crawford County, Missouri. Hilma Larson died October 24, 1934, in St. James, Missouri. August Larson died February 21, 1982, in Cuba, Missouri.
