Biographical Sketch
Julius H. Gerhard and his wife, Elizabeth, had three children, all of whom were born in Missouri: Albert J. (born March 17, 1855; died September 8, 1917, in St. Louis), Clara (born circa 1862), and Julius W. (born February 24, 1871; died December 24, 1946, in St. Louis). Albert J. Gerhard spent some time in Leadville, Colorado, and Kingston, New Mexico, in the mining business. Julius W. Gerhard served as a lieutenant in the Spanish-American War, and was a member of the Missouri National Guard for several decades.
