Historical Sketch

From May to August 1988, Jeff Ritter was a summer intern at the Missouri Historical Society doing an oral history project on Gaslight Square for a program he produced at KMOX radio station. Ritter was a doctoral student in American Studies at St. Louis University. Gaslight Square was the multi-cultural center of St. Louis in the 1950s and 1960s.
