Goebel Family Papers
Scope and Contents
The papers contain six World War II–era ration books of Anthony G. and Anna R. Goebel; two stock certificates of Henry Frank Goebel in the International Aerial Navigation Co., 1923; and several Goebel family photographs. The papers also contain military documents and photographs of Gilbert R. Loewenstein.

Biographical Sketch
Anthony G. Goebel (died September 24, 1968), the son of Henry Frank Goebel, resided in St. Louis with his wife, Anna R. Goebel. Gilbert R. Loewenstein was born February 28, 1894, in St. Louis, and died July 11, 1960, in St. Louis. He served in the U.S. Army. The relationship of Loewenstein to the Goebel family could not be determined.
