Writes of founding an establishment of 35 French immigrants in Russell County, Virginia. (4 pages, in French) (French industrialist Tubeuf, his family, 18 adventurers, and 30 servants left Normandy after the failure of his coal mines. Despite Virginia's financial assistance and protection from the Indians, Tubeuf was unsuccessful in attracting other French emigrants to Russell County.
