- Hamilton Rowan Gamble Papers | Letter signed Sabina Shroyer, Marshall, Saline Cty., to Governor of Missouri. Writes to make a complaint of Lieut. Col. Wilson. Her husband who was murdered last July was unfriendly to Wilson and it is this antagonism that the latter seeks to keep alive. Her servants, teams and property are being pressed into service by Wilson because of his malice and her stock pond is almost dry because the soldiers water their horses there instead of going down to the creek. Individuals mentioned include Lieut. Col. Wilson, Major Presley Shroyer, Brig. Gen. R.C. Vaughan, Ben Loan, H.R. Gamble. Places mentioned include Marshall, Jefferson City. (4 pages), 1862 Oct 5
