Journal includes accounts of races with the steamboats <span class="italic emph">Andy Johnson</span> and <span class="italic emph">Jennie Baldwin</span> and descriptions of numerous towns and cities along the route. Also includes typescript letter signed Clara Brown, Rolla, Missouri, to Charles Van Ravenswaay, director of the Missouri Historical Society, November 21, 1959, which includes a biographical sketch of William Hall Delano.
