- Amoureux-Bolduc Papers | Document emancipating two people enslaved to Felicite Beauvais (Pelagie, aged about twenty-six, and her son Felix, aged about sixteen months), signed “Felicet” Beauvais. Attached is document attesting its validity, dated May 12, 1860. “Be it known that on this day, appeared in open court, Felix Valle and Bartholomew Durocher, who being duly sworn depose and say that they are subscribing witnesses to the deed of emancipation from Felicite Beauvais to Pelagie her slave, aged about 54 years, and also her son named Felix, aged about 30 years.” Part of letter missing.
