Scope and Contents
The collection consists of correspondence, bills, receipts, accounts, and other documents of the related Amoureux, Bolduc, and Langlois families of Ste. Genevieve; surveys by Antoine Soulard of property of Francois Moreau and Pierre Delassus de Luzieres; letters of William G. Cox to his family regarding his service with the Exeter Union Guards during the Civil War (1860-1862); documents concerning the lead mining interests of Louis Bolduc; information pertaining to restoration of the Bolduc House in Ste. Genevieve in 1961; a copy of an inventory of the Bolduc House; and a transcript of an interview with Miss Zoe Bolduc, May 1956. This collection also includes a ledger of unidentified merchandise accounts from Ste. Genevieve, 1811-1814, with a 1932 guest register, possibly from the Bolduc House, at the center of the volume; and a daybook of the C.C. Bolduc general store in Ste. Genevieve, 1859-1862. The collection includes documents in French, some with translations.
